Google Opinion Rewards is Giving Away Lots of Cash, Or Am I the Only One?

Over the weekend, I noticed a lot of new surveys from the Google Opinion Rewards app.

I ended up making $5.42 over the course of 3 days. That’s significant, because most often, the rewards come in sporadic increments, perhaps one or two per week, and occasionally, two in one day. Did anyone else notice the quick influx of cash? How much did you end up making?

If you’re not aware, this app sits on your mobile device and sends you surveys that pay you in Google Play cash. Of course, this is an extension of Google’s marketing and advertising Metropolis, but I’m open for any sort of free. Plus, as a communication major in undergrad, I’m already kind of sold on the value of market research.

The surveys take about 1-2 minutes to complete, with some going longer. Usually, the payoffs are between $0.15 and $0.25, with a few going for more. Google will send non-paying, and fairly question intensive, surveys, but those are rare. For most surveys, there are 2-3 questions about your shopping habits, television views, or other similar items. Once a survey arrives, you have 24 hours to respond — you’ll only receive 1 notification, so don’t forget.

Ultimately, Google Opinion Rewards is a great way to earn Google Play credit, which helps offset the costs of apps or movies. And since I’m now five dollars wealthier, Family Movie Night is coming early this week.
