Okay, concerns with confidentiality aside, Google is unleashing spectacular pricing on Drive space.

Drive Pricing

The new prices reflect Google’s push to pull cloud data storage its way. And you should note all prices are monthly. Still, 1TB of data storage for $9.99 is phenomenal. I love how Google emphasizes the size of 1TB of data:

How big is a terabyte anyway? Well, that’s enough storage for you to take a selfie twice a day for the next 200 years and still have room left over for… shall we say… less important things. Like before, storage continues to work across Drive, Gmail and Google+ Photos.

Huge! Unless you’re from “Youston” or somewhere the H is silent, then it’s just “Youge”. But still, either way, that’s a lot of empty space — kind of like this blog. You can check out your space and shift your levels here.

Oh, and don’t forget that there are ways of encrypting data before you send it to the cloud.

Now, how much space did I want?
