Google is finally allowing Google Apps administrators access to their accounts via an Android app.

Google Admin

Google announced Google Admin, which is an app designed to make “it easy for admins to user their Android phone or tablet to accomplish the most common [Google Apps administrative] tasks.”

You’ll need API access enabled and device policies. With those two features, gaining administrative access to your account is quick and easy.

There are several neat features, including the ability to reset passwords, and the UI is pretty slick and clean.

I’m not sure what half of the settings do, but I like the easy-to-use controls. Now, I just wish they’d give us the ability to authorize devices.

A word of caution though: having this access on your device also amplifies the need to set up screen lock security.
