Weekly News Round-up: What You May Have Missed in the World of Android

This week was busy, both in my life and in the life of Android. I’m rushing to finalize 3 presentations (2 for ABA Techshow and 1 for the ABA IP Conference), and keeping abreast of the Android scene. Undoubtedly, I’m a little perturbed that there are rumors of an April release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 device. Maybe if I wasn’t so dang impatient, I wouldn’t have bought this; not that I don’t like it. In other news:

  • RIM, the maker of BlackBerry, released BlackBerry 10 to so fanfare. Here’s a decent comparison between the new BlackBerry OS and Android:

  • I have a special thanks for Futurelawyer, Rick Georges, who introduced me to the Jambox by Jawbone speaker. This little beauty runs about $150 and packs some great portable sound. Jawbone makes a larger model for around $300. Rick features the Jawbone Companion app (free) on his blog, which I’ve been using for about a week now.
  • And finally, since my boys are back in The Game this week, I’m going to be watching the San Francisco 50-minus-1ers take on the Baltimore Black Birds in El Plato Supreme:
