Unfortunately, you only have 2 days until Armageddon  At least that’s according to the ancient Mayans. Fortunately, Android has you covered when it comes to the apocalypse. You’ll probably want to check out some of the Armageddon countdown apps available in Google Play. I happened to grab the “official” Armageddon countdown app, Armageddon Countdown. What’s kind of crazy is that this app tells me the world ends in 2 day, but doesn’t account for UTC, GMT, EST, CST, or PST, or St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada time.

Damn, I’m screwed.

If you think you’re going to be around after world’s end, you might grab some or all of Android Guys’ top 50 apps to ride out the apocalypse. There are some cool ones listed, like Glympse (if you’re into voyeurism), and some I wouldn’t pick, like Nook from Barnes & Noble (I prefer Amazon). Side note, I did grab Mindcraft ($6.99) to hopefully keep me awake while I sort out which part of the world will die first.

If you want even more apps to appease any apocolyptic captors, check out my list of 2012’s best apps for lawyers.

Well, here’s a wink of the eye and a tip of the hat to hoping we all make it out of this mess to see December 21, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. I think what’ll really suck is (hopefully) living in the post-apocalyptic world and not being able to recharge my Google Play account to purchase more apps, music movies and books.
