October 31, 2012 at 4:41 p.m. EDT is a time that will live in the minds of everyone as the time Google shut down for 6 minutes ( I didn’t even notice because I was home preparing for a Halloween party with The Droid Tots).
And hey, guess what? The world continued onward. The disruption affected all of Google’s services:
Apparently (at least Google’s not saying), an “unknown” error affected about 10% of Google’s customers (about 1 trillion people – I made that up, obviously).
I think most people are upset because of the timing of the shutdown, right during the workday.
