Red Bull Stratos

Red Bull Stratos

We know Red Bull for its “gives you wings” campaign, as well as the multitude of crazy publicity stunts. Well, tomorrow, or Thursday, or Friday, you’re going to get to see one of the craziest stunts for science, ever. You don’t believe me? Check this out.

CRAZY!!!!

I’m kind of glad this got scratched for today, since it gave me this opportunity to write this post, which I intended to write, but didn’t, until now.

So, run quickly over to your neighbor’s house or Wal-Mart, and grab a 3rd, or 4th monitor. Then, about 5:00 a.m. PDT tomorrowgo here and watch with 20 billion (okay maybe not that many) other people, as Felix Baumgartner seeks to break a slew of world records, including “world’s fastest man”, highest free fall, and crazy-guy-who-jumps-from-20-miles-above-the-Earth.

I hope you’re not thoroughly disappointing like Mrs. The Droid Lawyer, and say “he’s not going to jump.” This is nothing like the Niagra Falls tightrope walker, who’s stunt was cool but ultimately a letdown. This is going to be Red Bull style.

Don’t believe me? Check this out:

Or this one:

Even though this isn’t necessarily an Android-related post, I don’t care. This is history. We’ll talk Android after we see whether Felix survives the fall. Not to mention the fact that it’s a YouTube Channel, owned by Google, who also owns Android. There, I “baconed” the post back to Android in 2.

Update: the jump today was scratched late, with a possible new jump date of Thursday, October 11.
