My practice doesn’t run in the virtual or home office mode, mainly because I think Mrs. The Droid Lawyer would murder me if we were together any more than our currently-allotted couple of hours. That said, there are times when I work from home or from remote locations. I’m sure too, depending on the type of case or client, other lawyers will benefit from mobile or virtual offices. The Free Enterprise blog has this short post about creating a successful virtual office. Certainly as technology improves, there will be plenty of remote collaboration opportunities to pass around. Having policies, procedures, and adopting early methodologies for handling these situations will be important for a success virtual or mobile office venture.
