I’m not going to try this trick, but if you’re catatonically mesmerized by the new iOS (and who would be with the Maps issue?), you can try the suggested Fake iPhone 5 app. This app changes the launch screen on your Android device to match the look of the unchanged-for-years-and-blah iPhone 5.
Fortunately, I rejected the urge, and deleted the app right away. If you want to keep it, but still use your default Android launch screen, remember not to set the app is default, then click Menu > Advanced > Switch Launcher.
