There’s news coming out of Google HQ that Android executives would love the opportunity to work with RIM, the makers of Blackberry, on developing an Android smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard. Frankly, I’m surprised that Google hasn’t yet purchased the struggling device maker, but that’s another examination.
This news begs the question, would you buy an Android smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard?
For me, it’s a no. Part of my love of my Motorola Droid Bionic, and the mass appeal of the Apple iPhone, is the release of the traditional phone style. No more hunting for tiny numbers and keys (or this app for “carnie hands”), there’s just a reflective sheet of glass to take my touch.
I’d like to hear your opinion, either by commenting or answering the poll question.
