I’ve taken the past 24 hours to consider installing the “recently-leaked” ICS update for the Motorola Droid Bionic. Futurelawyer upgraded his device, though I’m not so eager to jump on the
ship. Futurelawyer has a Galaxy Nexus that is his primary phone, while The Droid Lawyer uses the Motorola Droid Bionic as my only device. The difference is, unlike my previous Android devices, I am trying to keep my Motorola Droid Bionic as “pure” as possible.
Sure, I rooted the device, which enabled me to “freeze” some of the bloatware apps using Titanium Backup. This solved some of the problems I wanted to get rid of, without the cost of an unstable custom ROM.
For now, I’m holding off for the official Motorola update due sometime in third quarter (July (not likely), August, or September (perhaps).
