Tiger Direct’s e-blast ad arrived in my inbox this morning, and low and behold, there were two fantastic deals on tablets. Check it out:
The first deal is for the Acer Iconia Tab A-500. As you can see, it’s priced to move at $279.99. Now, it is a refurbished model, but you’ll still have the manufacturer’s warranty. This is a bulkier tablet than it’s brother, the Acer Iconia Tab A700, which is scheduled for release any day now.
Tiger Direct’s second tablet deal is on the Asus Transformer, competitively priced at $279.99. This is not Asus’s “crown jewel,” the Asus Transformer Prime, it’s certainly a competitive tablet for a reasonable price. This is another refurbished model, but obviously has the same or similar warranty. My only complaint with purchasing the Asus Transformer is that you’re buying a soon-to-be-obsolete model. Asus has already released the Transformer Prime, and I’m waiting patiently for the Asus Transformer Pad Infinity, which is slated to enter the market in roughly 7 days.
Note too, although the spec sheets show Android 3.2, Asus has released Android 4.0 updates for both.
So, if you’re looking for an Android tablet for your law practice, and you don’t want to dump a lot of dough, grab these two quickly.
