Root Your Android Phone

A great new program has been release by unlockroot.com, which allows you to root your Android device.

There are a significant number of reasons why you should root your device, so the program makes it easy.

Here’s how to root with the program:

  1. Verify that your device is supported (my Droid Bionic is, but the Viewsonic gTablet is not)
  2. Connect device and make sure USB debugging is enabled (Settings > Applications > Development > Click the Checkbox next to “USB debugging”).
  3. Run the unlockroot.com program (get the .exe file here).
  4. Click “Root”.

That’s it. You’re done.

Remember the caveat: I disclaim any and all warranties with this product, and will not be held responsible for damage you may cause to your phone. Also, rooting your device will void any manufacturers warranties.
